This work is a traditional dance based on Hyangbalmu (響鈸舞), a royal court dance from the Joseon Dynasty. In Hyangbalmu, dancers hold small percussion instruments called hyangbal (響鈸) in both hands and perform to the rhythm of drums. The hyangbal closely resembles modern castanets in shape and function.The sound of the hyangbal is bright and refreshing—like the crisp shattering of ice—and its clear rhythm enhances the dancer’s delicate hand movements and refined gestures. This performance faithfully inherits the form and spirit of Hyangbalmu, while showcasing the elegance of the royal court and the distinctive beauty of Korean aesthetics.

After alternating sequences of Poomsae and board breaking, the demonstration continues with combat skits, allowing the audience to experience the application of techniques and strategic movements. 아름다운 나라 (Beautiful Country)
